We’d love if you would consider supporting our Aoibhneas Christmas appeal. You can find more details about Aoibhneas and the work they did in 2019 by clicking the button. Their services, sadly, have been in great demand over the past couple of years. Please read below for how you can join us in supporting some of the most vulnerable women and children in our city.
1. Give a voucher for Smyths Toy store, Dunnes Stores or Penney's
Buy a voucher and it will enable a mother to take her child out for an afternoon treat to buy clothes or toys. Please break the vouchers into smaller numbers like €10 or €20s to allow Aoibhneas to distribute more easily.
2. Provide a Bag of goods or some items for a woman.
If someone flees from domestic abuse in their homes they usually arrive at the refuge with only the clothes they stand in. Please make up bags that contain some or any of the following items: Pyjamas, deodorant, bodywash, toothbrush/paste, shampoo, conditioner, hand cream, body lotion etc
3. Provide Toys for children.
Please buy any of the following toys: puzzles, jigsaws, books, art sets, small toys. (Please be aware that Aoibhneas serve many different nationalities and please bear this in mind if you decide to donate a doll.)
Please deliver vouchers, toys or bags to Church on Sundays 28 November, 5 December and 12 December. If it would be easier for you to drop to a house, please phone Andy (0877548697) to arrange it.
