Giving Financially to Church

“Since you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you – see that you also excel in this grace of giving.”

2 Corinthians 8, 7

What the Bible says

The Bible tells us that everything we have belongs to God and that those who follow Jesus should consider how to use all of their resources to serve him and love others. The Bible also says that we set aside a portion of what we earn to be used to resource the local Church as we collectively invest in the kingdom of God and love the community around us.

The primary way people give to DPC is through standing order. We don’t pass around an offering plate during our services because we don’t believe it’s the responsibility of visitors to give financially to the work of the Church. If you’re regularly at our Church we encourage you to set up a monthly standing order. That helps us to budget and also, as a charity, allows us to claim tax back from Revenue.

Ulster Bank have left the Irish market. We have changed our bank account to Bank of Ireland. If you give by standing order already or you are about to begin please make the details those below.
